Bruce E. Kenney III, P.E.

Monitor
The areas where cars pass are monitored for changes in light and dark.
That input information is used in the computer program
to determine the time for the green, yellow, red, and turn lights.
Impressive
This is what starts the lights blinking after a power interruption.
There is an astonishing amount of wire, switches, and electronic components.

That "small" looking camera is NOT small.

This is the lens.
This is the back view showing the connecting ends.
It is hard to imagine the camera is so large.
It needs to be placed high up to get a clear view over large vehicles.

Information from one intersection is sent to the other intersections.

Loops are also used for input information.
