Appalachian Transportation Institute

Marshall University's Appalachian Transportation Institute is sponsoring a series of three workshops for students from grades four through nine.  These transportation workshops will center around building LEGO models.  The classes will start June 5, 2000.  The first session will run from June 5th through June 9th.  The second session will be July 17 through July 21, 2000.  The third session will be July 31 through August 4, 2000.  Call 304-696-7103 for information and/or registration for these classes.  The LEGO Class started by discussing a meaning for "traffic".
After the discussion students chose one of four groups to work in this week.  The groups are "Cars", "House", "Bug", and "Gadgets".  Each group will work to fulfill needs of transportation in a city.  On Friday, June 9, the students will assemble a display of their transportation model.
