The introductory yellow LEGO sets which are simple machines, provide an easy format for beginning science concepts. Each fall we like to start students building with these sets. They experience success and form a foundation for later construction.
Students learn the correct rules for handling LEGO elements as scientific materials rather than toys. It is also a basis for students learning to keep careful, correct records of their projects.
