One of our favorite projects comes from LEGO CAD in the form of a adventure story. The story begins by describing a ship wreck on an island with no ready supplies. The challenge for the students is to survive by building a way to get supplies to the island from the wreckage, find a way to provide shelter, and plan a way to supply water and food. They students must also devise a way to communicate a distress signal to the outside world, use energy to get around the island, and building a vehicle to get off the island.
