Appalachian Transportation Institute sponsored the DUPLO Workshop for students aged five through nine the week of August 7th, 2000.  The class is meeting in Cabell Hall.  The students worked five days to complete their study of gears, pulleys, structures, modes of transportation and transportation systems.  Students today built houses and machines to transport an egg, representing food, from one dwelling to another until the entire community was supplied with food.
