Appalachian Transportation Institute
at Marshall University
in Marshall Community and Technical College
Summer 2000

The food was passed and shared among the neighbors.

The LEGO DACTA DUPLO gears, beams, axles, wheels, and other elements were first made
using instructions and then the class worked on the problem for the day.
An introduction picture.
As the new students arrived they colored a picture of a gear project
that can crimp paper into an interesting texture.

Ready to Measure

Thank you

How many DUPLO long are you?

Measure horizontally and vertically.

The problem solving project for the day was
The Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe
She had so many children the neighbors helped out.
Each neighbor had a house and an egg moving vehicle.

Each day has a learning project using instruction cards and a problem solving activity.
